Many derpheaded herps claim that a band's earlier work is better than their current music.  Opeth fanboys are unfortunately the most common fans to claim that their favored band, Opeth, was better when they were all dark and hardcore.  This is untrue.  Heritage and Damnation are the best albums they ever made, and the heavier ones kinda suck.
